Sports Vision Provider

What is a Sports Vision Provider!

Dr Fred can help you be part of this growing field.

Sports Vision Providers offer specialized services to athletes and teams by concentrating on the visual needs of those participants. Similar to strength and conditioning coaches, our training is aimed at preparing and optimizing the visual performance for the field for a specific field of play.

As participation in the sports arenas and recreational activities continues to grow, building a sports vision program provides SPV a great opportunity to better serve the needs of their athletic patients - many of whom are highly motivated to achieve peak athletic performance.

How to become a Sports Vision Provider

To become a visual sports provider, your educational journey takes a significant commitment to obtain proficiency that it demands in the field. The profession requires creativity, curiosity and commitment. There are many resources available to the candidate including conferences, seminars, online webinars/training, mentoring, and many other opportunities to learn the skills needed. Perhaps most importantly, is to join a community of sports vision group with like training ideas. See the l inks below for such associations and groups. XtremSight also provides education and mentoring in the Sports Vision field. We have a successful track record of proficient SVPS which we stay closely associated with as partners in the field. Up until recently, one was left to find their way on their own. It was common for SVP to educate themselves with loosely regulated online resources. Now, however, there are credible, superior resources and more standardized opportunities for better, more thorough education and training.

XtremeSight offers interested participants two days of intensive sports vision management and training in this program, Dr. Fred will work very closely with you in his clinic, interacting with his clients, on his equipment. Specialized Visual Training Equipment and Technology

Utilizing the most current training equipment, you will learn the methods to used to hold your own successful training clinic. Here are several of the training techniques we employ. XTREMESIGHT will train you on these as well as many more visual training technologies including digital programs and peripheral training.

XTREMESIGHT Light Rail
Visual Tracker Equipment

As the lights stream towards you emulating a fast pitched ball or swirling hockey puck, try to swing just as the beam of light comes into your "hit zone".

Dynamic Rotator
Visual Recognition Equipment

With the rows of letters spinning in a spiral format, this equipment is training your eye to focus on one specific area even if it is in motion. As the wheel spins, you are to read the letters in that row in order. See the numbers in green - that is where a "row" starts.

Flash Recognition
Visual Tracker Equipment

As light diodes flash on this depth perception grid, touch the light that flashes - much in the "whack a mole" method. The rays going out toward the edges represent balls or pucks that are coming towards you on the outside of your normal peripheral vision.
